Cure for boredom

Either I’m not creative enough, or it seems like all there really is to do is to as adults is to either a)go out to eat b)drink or c)see a movie. Or a combination of all three. Then once in a while, a play or a dinner party or a concert. I’m getting pretty bored with it all. When people get bored enough with their adult life, then they resort to having kids to spruce things up a little.

I don’t want to do that just yet, SO I propose a big 24 hour rec center that features:

–giant sumo wrestling outfits and a wrestling ring
–an inflated bouncing room
–an enormous trampoline with a velcro wall and a velcro suit
–a room where you go solely to meet new and interesting people through creative means and no one is allowed to do the usual sad rehearsed spiel about what they do for a living
– a virtual reality room, where you can put on the goggles and it feels absolutely real, like you are really on Mars or taking a bubble bath with Josh Hartnett.
–a laser tag arena
–a room where people can leave works of art all over the walls
–pick-up basketball or volleyball or ultimate frisbee at any time
–stand up comedy
–a labyrinth, with real, tall hedges
–obstacle courses like they had on that Nicklodeon game show where people had to get through it and pass orange flags to each other in time and ended up covered in all kinds of goo
–a place where you can safely experience what it is like to go ski jumping, because there is a giant pillow at the bottom
–Two words: acrobat swings
–a life sized board game where YOU are the game piece. Real lollipops and tar pits! Real chutes and ladders!
–no one under 21 is allowed, because there is a bar

Bonus: we’d all get in fantastic shape and not even realize we’re exercising.
